With the close of 2020, we are looking forward to the upcoming year with optimism and hope. Renewal is an exhibition featuring artwork from Winter Studio Artists that conveys a fresh outlook and the excitement to resume normalcy as we move into the new year.  Works will be on view in the corridors of the building on the 2nd floor and will feature a variety of artwork from artists exploring the variety of mediums within the building.

All exhibitions are free and open to the public Monday - Saturday 9 AM - 5 PM.

My work was selected for the juried gallery by guest juror Molly Glentzer, Senior Writer and Arts Critic for the Houston Chronicle.

More than 250 artists contribute to Art on the Avenue—Houston’s largest silent art auction and annual fundraiser for Avenue. This annual event raises funds to enhance the quality of life of working families, and to promote healthy, vibrant, and economically diverse neighborhoods to ensure Houston’s future as a world-class city.

Due to the ongoing risk of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s event will take place mostly virtually - over five days – with an online auction and the option to view artwork in person safely during open hours and by appointment. We will be implementing strict safety guidelines and will require that all in-person visitors adhere to them in order to participate.

Proceeds raised from this event support Avenue’s mission to build affordable homes and strengthen communities but also the artists themselves. Participating artists have the option to donate all or part of their auction sales with Avenue.

For the second year in a row, the artists of Sawyer Yards will come together for a collaborative show that fosters a spirit of togetherness and inclusion in a time of change and growth. Come Together is an exploration of our communities' artistic vision and the statements resulting from the partnerships.This exhibition will feature tenant artwork created in pairs, especially for the show, and will be on view in the Winter Street Studio hallways. I have two paintings in the exhibit with my partner Salli Babbitt.

Join us for the opening reception on Friday, August 9, 2019 6-8 PM at Winter Street Studios. Come enjoy some lite refreshments and learn about the collaborative process that produced these works and the greater Sawyer Yards community.

A Division of Tones: Intensity vs. Serenity examines the duality of expressing opposing themes and will explore the innovative styles artists use to interpret both intensity and serenity. This exhibition showcases pairings of work from each artist - one featuring intensity and the other juxtaposed against it as serenity.

Inspiratus: A Winter Street Studios Exhibition explores the inspiration behind artistic creation. Inspiratus, Latin for inspiration, reveals a rare glimpse into the process artists use to breathe life into their artwork. Inspiratus will feature tenant artwork and it’s inspiration.
